Position Overview
We are seeking a Plant Unit Manager to lead the operations of a key production unit within the plant. In this role you will oversee production processes manage a team and ensure that operational goals are met. The Plant Unit Manager will drive process improvements ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and contribute to the longterm success of the plant. Bonus opportunities are available based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the assigned production unit.
- Oversee and optimize production processes to meet performance goals.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production and quality issues.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield and efficiency.
- Mentor and develop production staff including engineers supervisors and operators.
- Ensure compliance with safety quality and environmental regulations.
- Manage the units budget and ensure costeffective operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience managing complex production operations.
- Expertise in process improvement root cause analysis and MOC/CAPA procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced knowledge of chemical processes such as batch polymerizations and transesterification reactions.
- Experience with key unit operations like distillation filtration and drying technologies.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 or GMP standards.
