Job Title: Technical Writer/Procedure writing
Location: Hybrid/Midtown New York City 3 days a week.

IMP NOTE:: We need: A senior Technical writer (Banking preferred) with experience in procedure writing with the ability to interview technologist and document their procedures. High level understanding of different types of technology and infrastructure. This role requires the ability to transform complex technical concepts into clear userfriendly documentation. The Technical Writer will collaborate with IT professionals engineers and other technical staff to create detailed documentation that supports internal procedures best practices and technical guidelines.
Candidates must have Long Projects/Good Tenure Excellent communication skills and a State issued ID (Not Bills) showing they are Local.
Candidates must be LOCAL to the NEW YORK or NEW JERSEY area and COMMUTE into the office THREE TIMES A WEEK. NO RELOCATION CONSIDERED.

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer with proficiency in procedure writing and the ability to interview technologists to accurately document their processes. The ideal candidate will have a highlevel understanding of various technologies and infrastructure systems. This role requires the ability to transform complex technical concepts into clear userfriendly documentation. The Technical Writer will collaborate with IT professionals engineers and other technical staff to create detailed documentation that supports internal procedures best practices and technical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop write and edit technical documentation including procedures guides manuals and workflow diagrams.
Conduct interviews with technologists engineers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather detailed information about technical processes.
Translate technical information into clear and concise documentation accessible to nontechnical stakeholders.
Maintain an uptodate repository of technical documents and ensure they align with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
Ensure that all documentation accurately reflects the processes and infrastructure used within the organization.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand project objectives technical specifications and user requirements.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of documentation to ensure it remains current and relevant.
Understand and document various technologies including network infrastructure servers databases cloud platforms and software applications.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in technical writing especially in procedure writing for technical audiences.
Strong interviewing skills with the ability to extract complex technical information from subject matter experts.
Highlevel understanding of technology infrastructure such as servers networking cloud environments and software systems.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with documentation tools such as MS Word Confluence or other content management systems.
Familiarity with IT and engineering terminology processes and best practices.
Preferred:
Experience in IT software development or systems engineering environments.
Familiarity with ISO standards compliance documentation or ITIL frameworks.
Full Time
