About the Position:

As a Remote Healthcare Assistant you will collaborate closely with onsite medical administrative staff to manage patient scheduling confirm appointments liaise with insurance providers and ensure an excellent patient experience. Reporting to the office manager you will work alongside a dedicated team of remote and onsite medical administrative professionals. This role focuses on multiple specialties and is based all over the US.

We are particularly interested in candidates who possess nearnative fluency in both English and Spanish as many of our patients primarily speak Spanish.

We are looking to fill the following roles for our practices:

  • Patient Care Coordinators
  • Insurance Coordinators
  • Medical Billing Specialist
  • Medical Scribe

Janie Health offers health allowances PTO incentivebonuses and annual offsite events for our remote team members. Salary for this role ranges from $6 / hour to $9 / hour depending on experience.There will be a signon bonus once youre chosen and finish the training.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Prescreen calls (triage) and direct patients accordingly
  • Contact insurance companies to verify benefits and eligibility
  • Facilitate communication between insurance providers and other healthcare entities
  • Assist with various administrative tasks as needed
  • Support the billing team and medical staff as required

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong critical thinking abilities
  • Professionalism
  • Preferred background in healthcare
