Job Description
Join us at the European Startup Network (ESN) as a Voluntary Board Member and be a part of a dynamic team thats shaping the future of startups in Europe! Based in Brussels (but fully remote) ESN is an international nonprofit that serves as a united voice for national startup associations across Europe. Were a small but mighty team with around 50 members dedicated to fostering growth and innovation. Our mission is to support our members enhance member relations and expand our network with new members and sponsors. We value courage Innovation and passion and were looking for someone who shares our drive and commitment to impact. Tasks
- 2 hours of commitment per week (fully remote)
- 1 online board meeting per month
- DecisionMaking: Participating in highlevel decisions regarding organizational direction resource allocation and new initiatives.
- Building Networks: Actively participating in discussions with policymakers regulators and industry leaders to promote favorable frameworks for startups innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Attending and Organizing Events: Board members are often involved in organizing moderating or speaking at ESN events such as member meetings conferences and startup showcases.
- Supporting Funding Initiatives: Assisting with fundraising efforts or helping to secure sponsorships.
- Acting as an Ambassador: Representing ESN at key industry events conferences and meetings. Board members serve as the public face of the organization building partnerships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
- You need to be part of a national Startup Association (Board member advisory Board or CLevel within the organisation)
- A strong advocate for entrepreneurship with a deep understanding of the European startup ecosystem.
- Experience in policy advocacy and/or strong connections within European political and business networks.
- Proven track record in leadership roles within startups accelerators investment groups or other techrelated organizations.
- An ability to think strategically and contribute to longterm growth and impact.
- Passion for supporting innovation and helping startups succeed in a global market
- Please note: Each new Board member must be elected by the General Meeting of ESN.
