Job Description
AniCura Veterinary Center Hond en Kat is an emergency and referral center available 24/7. There is always at least one veterinarian onsite. With modern equipment and new techniques our veterinarians and assistants strive to provide the best possible care for your pet. You can be referred to us for medical imaging (ultrasound Xrays and endoscopy) surgery and laparoscopy cardiology orthopedics dentistry ophthalmology internal medicine and oncology. Additionally we are always available for emergencies whether minor or serious. Extended hospitalization and intensive care are also possible.
To support our growth and offer increasingly specialized care we are looking to strengthen our enthusiastic team with a motivated European Specialist in Veterinary Internal Medicine focused on small animals.
Who are we looking for
- You are a European Specialist residencytrained and accredited by a Europeanrecognized college;
- You already have relevant experience in veterinary internal medicine for small animals;
- You can independently conduct secondary consultations in internal medicine (clinical assessment required diagnostics for gastrointestinal patients diabetes urinary issues etc.);
- You provide followup throughout the entire patient care process. Imaging workups can be delegated to colleagues within Hond en Kat if needed. Endoscopic skills are a plus but not required;
- During the day you assist emergency veterinarians and interns with their cases and potentially help organize courses for primary and referral veterinarians;
- You contribute to the further development of internal medicine within Hond en Kat helping to expand our secondary care;
- You are available one Saturday out of four to assist in the emergency department alongside an experienced emergency veterinarian (no night shifts).
