Job Description
Growing Manufacturing Company in Reno Nevada has a need for a Plant Manager. This is a direct hire opening with full benefits and relocation.
This position will be responsible for directing coordinating and overseeing the daytoday operations of the plant production.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct coordinate and oversee the daytoday operations of the production to ensure quality and meet monthly production goals
- Oversee and schedule staff to include: work assignments/rotations employee training employee PTO overtime assignment and backup for absent employees ensuring performance in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Collect analyze and report production documents on a weekly monthly and yearly basis to Plant Manager
- Develop write and control documentation related to work instruction standard operating procedures (SOPs) or any other pertinent documentation related to the production department
- Recommend capital improvements and other process improvements as needed
- Develop corrective and preventative actions
- Work closely with the Plant Manager to complete any production related issues at the facilities
- Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as hires promotions transfers discharges and corrective/attendance counseling
- Assist Plant Manager and Human Resources to resolve personnel problems complaints or grievances
- Accurately report findings to the necessary personnel and complete any necessary documentation
- Conduct staff performance reviews
- Counsel and train staff about work relatedissues and assist them to correct jobskill deficiencies
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in a related field is required or substitution of the following experience
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing
- 3 years of management experience with a proven record of managing multiple people and projects at the same time while maintaining the highest level of production preferred
