Job Description

Business Analyst (Insurance Domain)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our Insurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the insurance domain lifecycle and possess excellent analytical and problemsolving skills. This role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to gather requirements analyze data and develop effective solutions to drive business growth and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering:
    • Elicit analyze and document business requirements from stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
    • Conduct interviews workshops and surveys to gather information and understand business processes.
    • Create detailed requirements specifications including use cases process flows and data models.
  • Business Analysis:
    • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Conduct data analysis to identify trends patterns and anomalies.
    • Develop business cases to justify proposed solutions and measure their impact.
  • Solution Design:
    • Collaborate with technical teams to design and develop solutions that meet business requirements.
    • Ensure that solutions align with the overall business strategy and architecture.
  • Testing and Implementation:
    • Support the development and execution of test plans.
    • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely implementation of solutions.
  • PostImplementation Support:
    • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for implemented solutions.
    • Monitor performance and identify areas for optimization.


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Computer Science or a related field.
  • 59 years of experience in business analysis with a strong focus on the insurance domain.
  • Indepth understanding of the insurance lifecycle including underwriting policy administration claims processing and risk management.
  • Proven ability to gather analyze and document complex business requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g. UML BPMN).
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with insurance industry software applications.
    • Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools.

  • Good to have: LOMA (Life Office Management Association) certification or equivalent.
