IB Diploma Program Coordinator/Careerrelated Program Authorization Coordinator (with teaching responsibilities)

Reporting to: Head of High School (direct) and Director of Learning Analytics and Innovation (as needed)
The International School of London (ISL) Qatar s next International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Coordinator (DP) will successfully model ISLs mission values and beliefs particularly in promoting internationalmindedness and intercultural understanding. They will possess strong organizational skills a deep understanding of the IB DP framework and a commitment to high standards in program planning and delivery. The candidate will be detailoriented proactive and able to manage the various requirements of the IB DP and CP authorization processes.
Requirements
This role ensures the effective implementation development and monitoring of the IB DP while guiding the school through a successful CP authorization process. This includes analyzing DP results tracking student progress managing professional learning budgets and contributing to the school s mission vision and pedagogical leadership.
1 Qulaificatios and Experience.
1.1. Bachelor s degree in Education or equivalent
1.2 Qualified teacher status appropriate to the teaching duties to be undertaken.
1.3 Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP)

3 Roles Responsibilities and Expectations
3.1 Program Development Data Analysis and Communication: Collaborate with the Director of Learning Analytics and Innovation and other IB coordinators to plan implement and monitor DP initiatives ensuring continuous improvement. Analyze DP results and predicted grade data to inform strategies for student support and improvement. Maintain communication with parents the school community and stakeholders about the IB DP program. Collaborate on IB/NEASC CLP Evaluation(s) and CP Authorization processes with school leaders and teachers.
3.2 Core Components and Pedagogical Support: Collaborate with teacherleaders to support the delivery of TOK CAS and the Extended Essay. Promote best practices in teaching and learning focusing on approaches to learning and the IB learner profile.
3.3 Curriculum and Policy Management: Maintain records of the DP curriculum ensure teacher access to IB documentation and frameworks and support the development of IBmandated policies. Manage the professional learning budget for DP courses facilitating staff access to training opportunities.
3.4 CP Authorization: Guide the school through the CP authorization process preparing selfreviews action plans and documentation. Work with IB consultants to ensure all requirements are met including staffing and partnerships for internships.
3.5 Student Guidance and Course Selection: Work with counselors to guide students in selecting DP courses aligned with their strengths and aspirations ensuring students meet the requirement for the IB Diploma.
3.6 Organizing the Internal Assessment Calendar: Develop and maintain the student assessment calendar coordinating with subject leaders and teachers to ensure deadlines are met and students are supported.
3.7 Collaborating with Subject Leaders: Ensure alignment and consistency in curriculum delivery fostering collaboration and sharing best practices across all subject areas.
3.8 Scheduling and Timetabling: Assist in creating schedules that optimize learning time and meet IB DP and CP program requirements.
Specific Responsibilities
- Align IB DP policies with the school s strategic goals and maintain accurate documentation.
- Organize DP Information Evenings and related events to engage the school community.
- Monitor students progress through the DP providing support for new students and coordinating with admissions.
- Analyze DP results and collaborate with staff to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with the Head of High School and Director of Learning Analytics and Innovation on CP authorization requirements and strategies.
- Undertake additional tasks as required by the Head of High School.
- Support a positive school image and address any concerns affecting its reputation.
- Ensure consistency in implementing IB procedures across the school.
