Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The SAP Application Manager leads the application team responsible for ongoing development and support of the SAP application. This leader will function as the internal project manager during this new SAP deployment and will then lead the team postproject ensuring alignment with the companys overall strategy. This is a subject matter expert in Manufacturing/Operations and will provide functional leadership for the Operations area of the business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide leadership for other application analysts
Internal project manager for SAP deployment project (this is a new deployment)
Coordinate and prioritize team efforts
IT functional owner for SAP MM/PP
Manage 3rd party vendors associated with SAP environment support
Partner with business leaders to understand key requirements and lead development of SAP solutions.
Provide overall subject matter expertise for this area of the business and SAP
Provide leadership to limit system customizations
Partnership with development resources to create and maintain RICEF objects as appropriate including partnering with business resources to create functional specifications.
Partnership with Infrastructure team as needed
Functional leadership and specification creation for security roles
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide functional support for training and development of business resources
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Significant experience with SAP configuration in MM/PP including use of variant configuration in ordering and manufacturing. S/4 HANA experience is a major plus.
Strong project management skills on multiple SAP implementation projects
Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least five years of relevant work experience as an SAP subject matter expert in MM/PP including variant configuration
At least two years leading an SAP Functional team
Key roles in multiple SAP implementations
