Our client has established itself as a renowned logistics company in the industry through rapid expansion over the last few years. Today they have extensive distribution networks and services including air and sea freight forwarding warehousing trucking transportation and courier services for doortodoor delivery.
This newly created role will lead to outstanding service and process excellence in ocean transport and warehousing solutions. This role focuses on developing and implementing new processes products services and systems. You will lead the onboarding of new clients oversee quality initiatives monitor key performance metrics and coordinate RFPs with profit and loss (P&L) owners.
The Challenges
Process & Service Management
- Collaborate to document and measure business processes and develop services that align with customer requirements.
- Conduct regional performance analyses auditing KPIs and P&L by customer and preparing customer report cards.
- Drive operational improvements through audits ensuring compliance and standardization across regions.
New Service & Business Implementation
- Lead the implementation process for new customers ensuring operational alignment and fulfillment of client needs.
- Develop new services and products in line with customer expectations and regional business goals.
Technology & System Enhancements
- Facilitate the development and rollout of new technologies system enhancements and automation initiatives aimed at boosting service quality and productivity.
- Train operations teams on continuous improvement tools and problemsolving methodologies.
- Identify and implement IT and automation projects to streamline workflows improve efficiency and enhance work environments.
- Monitor and communicate supply chain disruptions to internal and external stakeholders.
Audits & Continuous Improvement
- Plan and execute regular audits of country operations to ensure adherence to processes and training.
- Champion key improvement initiatives such as process redesign EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) Six Sigma and inventory cycle reductions.
- Review new or updated logistics procedures to ensure alignment with workforce capabilities and operational processes.
What It Takes
- Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification.
- 5 years of experience in international logistics with strong knowledge of order management freight forwarding warehousing and land transportation.
- At least 2 years of experience facilitating workshops and training sessions as the lead Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is a plus.
- Strong communication facilitation and coaching skills with the ability to work across departments.
- Analytical and problemsolving expertise with a passion for service excellence.
- Project management experience particularly in crossfunctional teams.
