Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. The Supervisor needs to assign the team's daily duties and inspect work for adherence to prescribed standards of cleanliness. You will oversee the development of your team to ensure delivery of exceptional customer experiences.


Qualifications

At least five years' experience in hotel housekeeping operations
Effective supervisory skills
Good interpersonal skills
Proficient in English communication
Eye for detail
Team Management

Supervise and train housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and operational procedures.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor their performance.
Quality Control

Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet company standards.
Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
Inventory and Supplies

Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
Order supplies and equipment as necessary, adhering to budget constraints.
Scheduling and Planning

Create and manage work schedules for housekeeping staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency.
Coordinate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to meet guest needs.
Guest Relations

Respond to guest inquiries and requests related to housekeeping services.
Handle any complaints or issues related to cleanliness or service with professionalism and urgency.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities effectively.
