Kitchen Technician

Roles and responsibilities

You will responsible complete activities on the preventive maintenance schedule for Kitchen & laundry equipment's as specified in hotel plans, to clean all work areas after finishing the tasks properly and look after all the tools supplied by the Hotel in a professional manner, and correctly maintain and deposit them after finishing the shift. We also want you to actively participate in the energy conservation programs of the Hotel and to suggest cost saving ideas as and when possible, not limited to the Engineering Department.

Qualifications

Must have the appropriate documented training from a technical/vocational institute.
One year operating experience in a hotel engineering department.
Good civil or plumbing knowledge.
Equipment Maintenance

Perform regular inspections and maintenance on kitchen appliances (e.g., ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers) and laundry equipment (e.g., washers, dryers).
Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
Repairs and Troubleshooting

Respond to service requests from kitchen and laundry staff, diagnosing issues and implementing timely repairs.
Keep records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours.
Installation

Assist with the installation of new kitchen and laundry equipment as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for equipment procurement and service contracts.
Safety Compliance

Ensure that all kitchen and laundry equipment complies with health and safety regulations.
Conduct safety inspections and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents.
Inventory Management

Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring that necessary items are readily available for repairs.
Order supplies and equipment as needed, adhering to budget guidelines.
