Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Inspect, record and mark the garment as per standard and ensuring inventory of all uniforms are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate records of items washed, number of loads, and poundage of dry cleaning and laundry.
  • Tracking which items belong to whom.
  • Inspect and hang all clean Garment once treatment is completed
  • Anticipating and responding to customers' queries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Process laundry by either washing, dry cleaning or pressing according to department standards and procedures
  • Perform minor sewing duties when applicable or pass them to the seamstress.
  • Report stains or torn laundry, as well as any items left in pockets or jewelry on clothing before beginning the process of cleaning
  • Assist all staff at laundry counter for any services request. - Pay particular attention to any items that require pre-wash soaking
  • Ensure that hangers are returned and stored in to hanger racks station.
  • Communicate effectively with all laundry personal and all other departments.


Qualifications

  • Good oral proficiency in English language
  • Prior experience in a similar role is an asset
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Uniform Management

    • Distribute uniforms to staff members and maintain an accurate inventory of all uniforms.
    • Collect and track uniforms for laundering or repair, ensuring timely return to staff.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance

    • Ensure that all uniforms are cleaned, pressed, and in good condition before distribution.
    • Perform minor repairs on uniforms, such as sewing buttons or fixing seams.
  • Inventory Control

    • Maintain records of uniform sizes, distribution, and any alterations made.
    • Monitor stock levels and report when new uniforms need to be ordered.
  • Guest Interaction

    • Assist staff with uniform-related inquiries and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Provide guidance on proper uniform care and maintenance.
  • Health and Safety Compliance

    • Follow hygiene and safety regulations regarding uniform handling and cleaning processes.
    • Ensure that uniform storage areas are organized and maintained.
