Job Description
Responsibilities:
Design develop and execute API test plans and test cases for our observability product.
Work with GraphQL calls to design and implement an API test suite and framework.
Identify and document API endpoints through network traffic analysis and collaboration with development teams.
Develop and maintain API automation scripts using tools such as Postman RestAssured Karate or Playwright.
Integrate API tests into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins GitLab CI or CircleCI.
Monitor and analyze API test results providing detailed reports and recommendations.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand API requirements and ensure they are met.
Develop and maintain UI automation scripts using tools such as Selenium Cypress or Playwright as a secondary responsibility.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in API and UI automation.
Provide support and mentoring to distributed project teams on API and UI automation best practices.
Requirements / Qualifications:
46 years of experience in API automation and testing.
Strong experience with API Testing and tools such as Postman RestAssured or Karate.
Handson experience with setting up and maintaining API testing pipelines in CI/CD environments (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI CircleCI).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Java Shell Scripting SQL script) for test automation.
Solid understanding of API testing methodologies including functional performance and security testing.
Experience testing software web and cloud based services and applications
Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium Cypress or Playwright.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to identify and resolve API issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional team environment.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and its impact on API testing.
Experience in Cloud Technologies SaaS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Good to Have
Experience with GraphQL
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana) to analyze API performance metrics.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
