Job Description
- Receive oral or written work requests and sets priorities
- Review all work orders before and after completion
- Maintain budget records and files and prepares reports
- Overhaul or installation of environmental control systems to assure that work is carried out according to plans and specifications
- Conduct a quality check of work in progress or upon completion to assure acceptability.
- Repair and replacement of faulty thermostats wiring and controls and compressors
- Coordinate the operations maintenance and service repairs on heating ventilation and air conditioning systems
- Oversee the installation of new units and replacement parts ensuring work is done in accordance to company specifications and established guidelines
- Review the work of contractors (where applicable) for adherence to plans and specifications and for quality assurance
- Inform staff in the proper use of tools and proper work procedures Keep records of work orders inventory and expenditures
- Estimate and order needed equipment and supplies
- Determine the appropriate HVAC equipment
- Design air flow control systems
- Design modifications to existing systems to achieve efficient operation
- Review plans and specifications for new construction to determine compatibility with existing equipment or acceptability of design
- Coordinate work with other roles as needed.
- Other duties as advised by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Must be an HVAC technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Knowledge of heating and cooling systems refrigeration and air conditioning units.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
- Must be physically fit.
