Compensation: Guaranteed Base Pay is BTW N120 000.00 N200 000.00 monthly other interesting benefits
About Company: Our client is a renowned ISP company that provides both residential and commercial customers with fast reliable and unlimited internet services at affordable rates. It has operations and offices across Nigeria.
Our client is looking to hire a Fiber Optic technician to handle the tasks of troubleshooting installing repairing and maintaining fiber optic cables and systems as well as providing technical assistance in the designing and testing of fiber optics. The ideal candidate will be able to ensure that all cabling is connected properly to prevent any data loss or failed connections and to perform routine inspections to ensure construction and other operations do not disrupt or damage our fiber optic system.
Key Responsibilities
Perform cable installation construction maintenance and repair works as well as issue resolution.
Possess knowledge in all types of splicing activity cable and safety test equipment and use of all types of cable construction equipment as well as the rectification of fiber optic problem areas.
Locate and repair cable faults to maintain the existing cable network without causing signal failure interruptions.
Validate and test endtoend service provisioning for the cable network.
Confirm accurate cable terminations on crossconnect patch panels hubs and routers.
Review site surveys condition discrepancy reports design drawings and technical manuals for cable installation feasibility.
Understand construction prints and splice schematics.
Develop sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections so that a faulty fiber optic system does not destabilize its performance.
Maintain project tracking information such as production sheets time sheets and customerrequired paperwork.
Formulate and maintain system records and system designs.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment by complying with Government standards and legal regulations.
Requirements
OND/HND from a reputable institution is required
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
FTTH skill is highly desirable
Vocational school training or apprenticeship is an added advantage.
Understanding of technical operating systems
Must have physical strength balance handeye coordination and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
Knowledge of telecommunications understanding of technical operating systems and ability to use initiative
Strong problemsolving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Passion for accuracy.
Excellent customer service skills
Logical thinking skills.
Selfmotivated and able to work alone.
Manage pole climbing working at heights handling ladders and pushing pulling and bending equipment.
Must have flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the business.
