The Role
We are seeking highly motivated Network Engineer to execute a strategic vision for delivering valueadded customized Operational Support Services to our customers and constituents.
This onsite position supports diverse networking technologies across a fastpaced and constantly evolving organization.
This role demands the highest level of service delivery providing a critical function on our team and interacting with and supporting senior network engineers.
Skills Requirements
- Networking Expertise: 5 years of core networking skills performing routing and switching.
- Load Balancing Knowledge: Advanced understanding of load balancing technologies.
- Tier 3 Support: Ability to provide tier 3 support for networking technologies including DHCP/DNS and firewalls.
- Complex Network Experience: At least 5 years of experience working with complex highperformance networks across multiple sites (data centers and/or branch locations).
- Advanced Technology Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following: Arista EOS operating systems F5 load balancers Infoblox and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Routing Protocols: Proficiency in routing protocols including BGP OSPF and multicast.
- Troubleshooting Tools: Experience using tools such as Ekahau packet capture NetFlow NetMRI Splunk Endace CA Spectrum and ThousandEyes is a plus.
Requirements
- Operational Support: Act as a network engineer on a team providing 24x7x365 operational support for a large heterogeneous network.
- Collaboration: Work with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.
- Architecture Improvement: Provide feedback to enhance existing architecture ensuring scalability and high reliability of the network.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor junior Network Engineering staff delegating maintenance tasks as necessary.
- Incident Resolution: Act as an escalation point for resolving incidents service requests and changes.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve networkrelated performance issues.
- Documentation: Log all customer interactions filling out detailed information in tickets and document resolutions.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to documented process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Coordination: Coordinate support activities with multiple user departments internal teams and thirdparty vendors.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive constructive relationships with the client community.
- Project Management: Oversee various network projects within the client base.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients at all levels supporting all aspects of infrastructure technology in their environment.
- OnCall Responsibilities: Participate in afterhours maintenance windows and an oncall rotation schedule.
- Technology Trends: Stay current with the latest trends in technology and manage their integration into the network.
Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following: Arista EOS operating systems, F5 load balancers, Infoblox, and Palo Alto firewalls.
