Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Ensuring all storerooms are secure at all time, and that all received goods are stored in their correct location.
To control stock in designed store room by means of stock rotation, and keeping appropriate par stock levels.
Maintaining storerooms, passageways, floors, walls, office areas and dock areas so that the highest degree of sanitation is kept.
Ensuring that all requisitions are fully completed and checked before being released to the respective departments.
Ensuring all requisition is properly authorized.
Make recommendations to the Cost Controller regarding stock movement and also report on obsolete stocks.
1. Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movement.
2. Receiving and Storing Goods
Oversee the receipt of incoming goods and verify against purchase orders.
Ensure proper storage of items to prevent damage and facilitate easy access.
3. Sales Support
Assist customers with inquiries regarding stock availability.
Coordinate with sales staff to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
4. Documentation and Reporting
Prepare and maintain records of stock transactions and inventory levels.
Generate reports for management on inventory status and issues.
5. Safety and Compliance
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage area.
Implement proper handling and storage procedures to minimize risks.
6. Team Coordination
Supervise store staff, including training and scheduling.
Foster a collaborative environment to enhance productivity.
7. Customer Service
Address customer concerns related to stock and product availability.
Ensure a positive shopping experience through effective service.
8. Process Improvement
Identify areas for process improvement within inventory management.
Implement best practices to optimize efficiency.
