Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in Sanford NC in search of a highly talented Director of Cardiovascular Services.
Job Summary:
The Director of Cardiovascular Services organizes directs and supervises the functions of the Cardiovascular Service line including operational oversight of the Cath Lab Endoscopy Vascular and Cardiac Rehabilitation. This role is responsible for policy and procedure adherence maintaining safe staffing levels managing supplies and equipment and ensuring efficient patient throughput. The Director develops and manages the department budget engages in quality improvement initiatives and promotes professional development among staff.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee operations of Cath Lab Endoscopy Vascular and Cardiac Rehabilitation departments
- Develop implement and manage department budgets
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain safe staffing levels and manage personnel resources/productivity
- Engage in ongoing quality and performance improvement initiatives
- Invest in staff professional development and ensure completion of required competencies
- Communicate important information to the CNO and Administrative Team
- Manage patient quality safety and performance improvement efforts
- Ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
I. Education:
- Bachelors degree is required
- Masters degree is preferred
II. Experience:
- 35 years supervisory experience in Cardiac Cath lab setting
- 5 years training education and/or experience as Cardiac Cath Lab RN
- Leadership experience managing teams policies and processes
III. License(s)/Certification(s):
- Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)
- BLS within 30 days and ACLS within 90 days of hire
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular services and procedures
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in budget development and management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive quality improvement and performance excellence
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in healthcare
