Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in Manteca California in search of a highly talented Director of Pharmacy Services.
Job Summary:
The Director of Pharmacy manages the medication use process through the planning organization management and direction of the operations clinical activities and staff of the Pharmacy Department. This role provides leadership in developing and implementing best practices within the profession while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop implement evaluate and modify the hospitals pharmacy practice to align with industry best practices
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with federal state and local laws and accrediting bodies
- Recruit hire develop and retain competent pharmacy staff Develop implement and monitor processes and systems to detect and prevent drug diversion
- Plan organize and direct the work of the pharmacy staff
- Create the annual budget and submit capital expenditures requests per policy
- Review and revise Policy and Procedures annually or as required by hospital bylaws
Qualifications:
I. Education:
- Pharm. D. or BS in Pharmacy required
- Masters Degree preferred
- Pharmacy residency or fellowship training preferred
II. Experience:
- 5 years Pharmacist Experience required
- 3 years hospital Pharmacy Management experience required
III. License(s)/Certification(s):
- Active California Pharmacist license required
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Indepth knowledge of pharmacy practices and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
