Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading financial services company in McLean VA to recruit a Data Governance Senior for their Investments & Capital Markets (I&CM) division. This role will be part of the I&CM Information and Technology Risk Governance Team performing data governance and compliance activities.
Job Summary:
The Data Governance Senior will govern information and technology risk implement data governance practices evaluate the divisions information risk profile and champion the strategic value of data within I&CM. This role requires strong attention to detail multitasking abilities and welldeveloped organizational skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Craft strategies around data quality and implementation of metadata and information governance
- Create and maintain processes aligned with divisional and enterprise data governance standards
- Support identification and management of I&CMs critical data
- Execute and improve I&CMs data governance framework focusing on data quality issue management and protection of sensitive data
- Partner with I&CM groups to develop effective information risk management strategies
- Develop management reporting on information risk
- Manage I&CM Community in Collibra
- Comply with Enterprise metadata capture requirements including data lineage
- Maintain information and relationships between processes applications business terms etc.
- Develop and maintain workflows
- Coordinate with other divisions on metamodel changes
Qualifications:
I. Education:
- Bachelors degree in IT Finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
II. Experience:
- 58 years of information risk / data governance experience in financial services
- Handson experience with Collibra
- Experience with reporting/data tools like Tableau / Alteryx
III. License(s)/Certification(s):
- Industry certifications in data governance or risk management a plus
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Expert knowledge in information/data risk management including privacy cyber risk identity/access management
- Experience defining business processes and information flows including metadata and lineage
- Understanding of industry standard information risk management processes
- Ability to craft and maintain operational policies and procedures for information risk/data governance
- Solid understanding of cloud technology (AWS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies and APIs (preferred)
- Initiativetaker with positive attitude and problemsolving mindset
- Critical and logical thinking abilities
- Outstanding timemanagement skills and strong work ethic
