Position Sales Representative
Summary A Japanese logistics company is seeking a qualified Sales & Operations Representative. You will be responsible for managing client relationships and ensuring smooth logistics and freight forwarding operations. This role combines sales functions with operational tasks to support the company's growth and provide exceptional service to clients. Fluency in both Japanese and English is a must.
Essential Duties - Develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing key accounts promoting the company's logistics services.
- Conduct client visits to generate new business and strengthen existing partnerships.
- Create and send detailed quotations to customers ensuring competitive pricing and service offerings.
- Provide exceptional service to clients addressing inquiries resolving issues and maintaining longterm satisfaction.
- Attend and oversee the loading/unloading of shipments at port facilities warehouses customer sites and other relevant locations to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless handling of shipments both domestic and international.
- Manage import and export processes ensuring strict adherence to U.S. and foreign government regulations.
- Prevent violations by ensuring all procedures are fully compliant.
- Prepare and submit all necessary import and export documents ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the movement of goods for domestic and international deliveries planning and tracking shipments to ensure timely arrival.
- Handle any issues with customs officials when necessary.
- Organize transportation activities ensuring ontime deliveries that meet critical deadlines.
- Lead the carrier selection and negotiation process establishing and maintaining strong contractual and business relationships.
- Monitor compliance with agreements and address any operational issues with vendors.
- Adhere to and enforce company policies and regulations to maintain a high standard of operations.
- Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned contributing to the overall success of the operations.
Working Hours Working style Monday Friday; 9:00 17:00
1 hour lunch Overtime as needed

Salary/Benefit $70K 80K DOE

Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience in a freight forwarding company with handson experience in export and import operations.
- Indepth knowledge of import and export regulations.
- Proven experience in contract and rate negotiations with subcontractors.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (International and Domestic).
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment multitask and communicate effectively with personnel at all levels both within the company and externally.
- Strong ability to work in a multicultural international environment alongside global colleagues.
- Selfmotivated and proactive with a keen attention to detail.
- Fluency in both English and Japanese.
