Job Description

Position: Controls Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to design program and troubleshoot control systems for automated machinery in various industries including manufacturing and production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming electrical design and automation systems with the ability to support equipment from concept to completion.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design program and implement control systems for automated equipment.
  • Develop and modify PLC programs (AllenBradley Siemens etc.) to meet project specifications.
  • Design electrical schematics and layouts for control panels using CAD software.
  • Troubleshoot debug and optimize machine controls to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers project managers and production teams to integrate control systems into automated machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards (OSHA ANSI etc.).
  • Provide technical support for installation startup and commissioning of equipment.
  • Maintain detailed documentation including electrical drawings code and system modifications.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering Automation or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of experience in PLC programming and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC platforms such as AllenBradley Siemens or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of control panel design electrical systems and industrial automation.
  • Experience with HMI programming and SCADA systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work within deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and best practices for control systems.
