Job Description
Position Overview: A Private Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating and monitoring private debt investments. This role involves conducting thorough financial analysis performing due diligence on potential borrowers and monitoring the performance of existing loans. Analysts work closely with investment teams to identify investment opportunities and assess risks associated with private credit portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:
- Conduct indepth analysis of financial statements cash flows and credit metrics.
- Build and maintain financial models to project future performance.

Due Diligence:
- Research and analyze potential investment opportunities.
- Conduct site visits and interviews with management teams to assess business viability.

Risk Assessment:
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of borrowers and the associated risks of investment.
- Monitor ongoing performance of portfolio investments and identify any red flags.

Reporting:
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for investment committees.
- Regularly report on portfolio performance market trends and economic factors impacting investments.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior analysts portfolio managers and other stakeholders.
- Participate in negotiations and structuring of credit agreements.

Market Research:
- Stay updated on market trends interest rates and economic indicators that affect private credit.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling.
- Experience in credit analysis investment banking private equity or asset management is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Salary: The salary for a Private Credit Analyst can vary widely based on location experience and the size of the firm. Generally the salary range is as follows:
- EntryLevel (02 years experience): $70000 $90000
- MidLevel (35 years experience): $90000 $130000
- Senior Level (5 years experience): $130000 $200000
In addition to base salary many firms offer bonuses benefits and other incentives which can significantly enhance overall compensation.
