Job Description
HM Note: This hybrid role is three (3) days in office
Responsibilities: and nbsp;
Develops recommends implements and manages the technical architecture (hardware software database and communications) which will be used for all or specific applications in a large distributed crossplatform environment. Responsibilities also include the identification of relevant information and the determination of the environment which will be used for development. and nbsp;
General Skills: and nbsp;
Leadership experience in the development and implementation of technical architectures at the specified experience level and nbsp;
Extensive experience with at least three different platforms operating systems environments database technologies and communications protocols and nbsp;
Experience with middleware and gateways Knowledge of performance considerations in different environments and nbsp;
Experience in structured methodologies for the design development and implementation of applications and nbsp;
Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large systems environments and nbsp;
Knowledge and experience designing processes around ITIL and is able to guide others using this methodology and nbsp;
Experience translating business requirements into reporting needs and nbsp;
Experience preparing conceptual logical and/or physical processes and data models and nbsp;
Experience developing recommending implementing and managing technical architecture and nbsp;
Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and other software tools such as project management tools and nbsp;
Awareness of emerging technologies trends and directions and nbsp;
Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills and nbsp;
A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines and nbsp;
Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models) and nbsp;
Desirable Skills: and nbsp;
Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models) based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practice and nbsp;
Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Content Management (Open Text ECM applications) and nbsp;
Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles concepts policies and practices

Technical Skills (40%)
Data Ingestion and Storage:
- Microsoft Fabric: Proficiency in using Microsoft Fabric for collecting and storing data from various sources both batch and realtime (or similar tools and skills).
- Data Warehousing: Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and practices as resource will be working with data Engineers.
Data Analysis and Transformation:
- Ability to use notebooks for data analysis and transformation leveraging languages like Python Spark and SQL.
- Data Cleaning: Skills in cleaning and preprocessing data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Visualization and Reporting:
- Power BI: Expertise in creating visual representations of data using Power BI to develop interactive dashboards and reports (or similar).
- Copilot for Fabric: Utilizing Copilot for natural language interaction with data making it easier to generate insights and visualizations (or similar).
Analytical Skills (35%)
Data Interpretation:
- Statistical Analysis: Understanding of statistical methods to interpret data and identify trends patterns and insights.
- ProblemSolving: Ability to analyze complex data sets and solve problems through datadriven insights.
Business Acumen:
- Understanding Business Processes: Knowledge of business processes and how data can be used to improve decisionmaking and performance.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry in which the organization operates to provide relevant and actionable insights.
AI and Machine Learning Skills (25%)
AI Integration:
- Copilot for Fabric: Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts to leverage Copilot for enhanced data analysis and visualization.
- Predictive Analytics: Using AI tools to perform predictive analytics and generate forecasts based on historical data.
Must Haves:
Technical Skills and nbsp;(3 years experience)
