Job Description:
- Manage configure and maintain database systems to ensure high levels of performance availability and security.
- Optimize and monitor database performance through regular tuning and maintenance.
- Implement and manage backup recovery and data archival strategies to safeguard data integrity.
- Develop implement and maintain database security protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
- yze and resolve databaserelated issues ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and maintain databases that support business applications.
- Create and maintain detailed doentation for database architecture procedures and policies.
- Plan for future growth and scalability of database systems.
- Perform database migrations upgrades and patch management.
- Provide support for cloudbased databases and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Required Ss:
- Strong expertise in AWS RDS and other cloudbased database services.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.
- Indepth knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies.
- Proven experience with database security and access management.
- Experience in implementing disaster recovery plans.
- Strong problemsolving ss with the ability to trouble complex database issues.
- Familiarity with database design and data modeling.
- Excellent communication ss and the ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a database administrator in a corporate environment.
- Certification in database management (e.g. AWS Certified Database Specialty) is a plus.
Preferred Ss:
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for database automation.
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices.
