Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to complement our existing database development and maintenance function. Youll work with the Data Engineering team and other stakeholders to design develop and maintain a firstcl cloudnative database solution to support reporting ysis and data solution functions within the company. The role involves ensuring data accuracy governance and optimizing performance across our data infrastructure while supporting the needs of a rapidly changing business.

Your daily tasks will be

• Cloud Expertise: Leverage cloudbased tools such as Amazon Redshift Firehose and other AWS services for data management and optimization.
• Data Warehouse Design & Maintenance: Support the design and management of scalable data warehouse schemas and cloudbased architectures.
  
• ETL Development: Build and maintain robust ETL processes from platform and external data sources ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  
• Business Intelligence Services: Utilize existing tools to build and support BI services ensuring effective data delivery for business stakeholders.
  
• Full Stack Solution Implementation: Implement and maintain full stack solutions from source data to access layer databases ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  
• Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipate potential data bottlenecks and optimization opportunities providing proactive solutions to improve data performance and efficiency.
  
• Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure that all data engineering practices align with data governance security and compliance standards maintaining audit and reconciliation safeguards across ETL processes and BI services.
  
• Database Optimization: Optimize databases by employing techniques such as indexing partitioning and compression to ensure high performance and low latency in data access.
  
• Data Integration: Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to integrate additional data sources into the data warehouse environment ensuring consistency and governance in new data.
  
• Crossteam Collaboration: Work with Platform and Business teams to support platform development that aligns with downstream data consumption needs.
  

What we expect from you

• 5 years working in a technical data warehouse environment with strong expertise in cloudnative architectures.
  
• Indepth understanding of ETL tools and processes with experience in building and optimizing ETL pipelines.
  
• Experience in data warehouse technical architecture and endtoend DWH implementation.
  
• Strong experience with MongoDB or similar databases.
  
• Familiarity with Amazon Redshift Firehose and other AWS services for cloudbased data management.
  
• Experience in the online gaming or ecommerce sectors is a plus.
  
• Strong ss in database optimization techniques like indexing partitioning and compression for performance tuning.
  
• Node.js or Python scripting experience is an advantage.
  
• Strong understanding of data governance security and compliance best practices.
  
• A proactive and solutionoriented approach to problemsolving.
  
• Excellent collaboration ss to work with crossfunctional teams and business stakeholders.
