IT Security Specialist

We are currently seeking a midlevel experienced knowledgeable IT Security Specialist to join our IT team. The IT Security Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures to protect our companys networks systems and data from potential threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security vulnerability essment penetration testing technical cybersecurity solutions and knowledge of industry best practices.

Responsibilities:
Identify and fix vulnerabilities within existing security systems.
Develop organizationwide security measures.
Doent known security breaches and vulnerabilities.
Maintain security policies procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
Monitor and yze security events and incidents to identify and respond to potential threats promptly.
Performing penetration tests to ess potential security problems
Stay uptodate with the latest threats vulnerabilities and security technologies to proactively mitigate emerging risks.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate security measures into the development and implementation of new systems and applications.
Ability to scan and discover network and system vulnerabilities using various tools and perform penetration testing when required.
Maintain doentation and reports related to cybersecurity incidents actions taken and any necessary compliance requirements.
Perform configuration reviews for various security systems like firewall EDR etc.
Elish strong relationships with external cybersecurity partners vendors and service providers to ensure effective collaboration and support when needed.
Plan incident response activities including investigating security breaches doenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
Participate in the change management process.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or a related field.
3 to 4 years of experience in IT security role.
Excellent verbal written communication and interpersonal ss are crucial for interacting and collaborating with team members and stakeholders effectively at all levels.
Strong ytical troubleing performance tuning and debugging ss. Problemsolving ss are necessary for identifying root causes of issues and implementing effective solutions.
Effective time management and organizational ss are necessary to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to think strategically and align the solution deliverables with the organizations goals and objectives.

Technical Ss:
Understanding of network architecture including knowledge of firewalls VPNs and intrusion detection systems.
Proficiency in securing various operating systems like Windows Linux and macOS.
Ss in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in systems to improve security measures.
Familiarity with languages such as Python C Java and scripting languages like PowerS.
Knowledge of how to implement and manage encryption to protect data.
Proficiency in configuring and managing security software including antivirus and antimalware programs.
Knowledge of cyber operations and strategies to defend against cyber threats.
