Job Summary:
The Service & Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the inspection maintenance repair and service of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical hydraulic and electrical systems as well as handson experience with heavy equipment used in construction mining and related industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Schedule maintenance and preventive maintenance are performed on HEMM.
- Diagnose faults and undertake timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all repair work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Inspection and Troubleing:
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to trouble mechanical hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Doentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Prepare reports on machinery performance service schedules and repair activities.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Ensure machinery is compliant with relevant safety standards.
- Conduct safety checks and risk essments.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and guidance to operators and other team members.
- ist in training programs for operators and junior maintenance staff.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory.
- Ensure timely ordering of necessary parts and supplies.
Qualifications and Ss:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in machinery maintenance and repair are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of HEMM.
- Handson experience with machinery such as excavators Drilling machines bulldozers wheel loaders and dump trucks.
- Technical Ss:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
