The Clinical Neuroimmunology Group is part of the Centre dEsclerosi Mltiple de Catalunya (Cemcat) a reference center for multiple sclerosis (MS) at national and international levels. Cemcat has a multidisciplinary team with more than 70 highly experienced professionals fully dedicated to clinical care physical and cognitive rehabilitation teaching and research on MS (more information on the group can be found at ).
The Clinical Neuroimmunology Group is seeking a Predoctoral researcher who will work on a project that aims to find chemical compounds with potential to inhibit the action of a theutic target in human neurons derived from induced pluripotent stem cells which may become future therapies for patients with multiple sclerosis.
It is important to note that the Clinical Neuroimmunology Group cares a lot about teaching and highquality training for predoctoral researchers is one of the groups top priorities.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Degree in health sciences (biology biochemistry pharmacy biotechnology medicine etc.).
- High academic record (>8.0).

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Previous experience in a research lab particularly in cell cultures
- Familiarity with basic immunology techniques
Desired:
- Experience in cell cultures of induced pluripotent stem cells.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Develop their PhD project.
- Participate in the teaching activities of the group.
- Disseminate the results of their research in the corresponding meetings and congresses.
Labour conditions:
- Fulltime position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: November 2024.
- Gross annual salary: 18180.41 to 20800.00. Remuneration will depend on experience and ss. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
- Contract: Temporary contract under scientific law.
