VHIR offers a vacancy for a Research Technician position within the Musculoskeletal Tissue Engineering Group (BSTVHIR).
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry
- Specific training in qPCR Western blot ICC
- Fluency in Catalan Spanish English (CAE C1 Advanced)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Proven experience in human mesenchymal stromal and human aortic smooth muscle cell culture and basic molecular and cellular biology techniques for cell characterisation
- Experience in the design of stem cell culture strategies flow cytometry and cell differentiation.
Desired:
- Proven experience in international laboratories
- Proven experience in blood cell and tissue establishments
- Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English
- Strong sense of responsibility initiative resourceful selfmotivation teamworking and social skills as key personal abilities
Main responsibilities and duties:
- To contribute to the development of novel cellbased therapeutics in compliance with current quality and regulatory standards.
- To identify develop and apply a broad range of techniques to pursue the research objectives.
- To write/review/update registers and/or SOPs plan/execute/analyse/report preclinical studies.
- Provide support to lab collaborators.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep track of scientific and technical advances in the field of stem cell research and therapy.
