Job Description
Genesis Medical Center Davenport is looking for an OB/GYN to fill a need!
Details:
- Practice Setting: OB & GYN in Hospital 24 hours of coverage
- Dates of Coverage: October 6&7 and more dates in November and beyond.
- Schedule: 24 hour call. (depending on census this can be 12 hours on site and 12 hours from hotel)
- There is a nice sleep room available onsite!
- Reason for Coverage: lost a physician new one starts summer of 2025 and anticipate a maternity leave
- Trauma Level/Designation: level 3
- Call Schedule: available 12 months in advance
- Call Ratio: 1:5
- Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: On call work only
- Number of Physicians in Practice: 4
- Will Other OB/GYNs Provide Coverage During Los Coverage Dates: not typically
- How Many APPs Provide Coverage: 12 CNM
- Onsite Lab & Ultrasound: Yes
- Describe Support Staff: Labor & Delivery post partum OR ER
- Percentage of Practice is Low Risk Pregnancy: 40%
- Percentage of Practice is High Risk Pregnancy: 60%
- Percentage of Patients are CSection: this depends on the physician
- Average Number of Nursery Admissions Per Day: 25
- Doentation System/EMR: CERNER
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 3090 days depending on speed of applicant
- Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins Toxemia Pyelonephritis etc.)
- High Risk Pregnancy (i.e. with Toxemia Diabetes Cl II or Higher Cardiacs Chronic Lung Problems Chronic Renal Disease etc.)
- Fxx Interpretation NST/CST/FSE
- OB ultrasounds Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
- Amniocentesis
Required Labor and Delivery Procedures:
- Routine Delivery l Low Forceps DecisionMaking for CSection
- Complicated Delivery CSection Breech Multiple Births Abruptions etc.
- VBAC s
- Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
Required Gynecology Procedures:
- Surgical Gynecology Open
- Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor OnlyTubal Ligation LOA s Chromal Tubation
- Operative/Major (Includes Diagnostic) Ectopic Pregnancy Ovary Removal Cystectomy Extensive LOA s
Rates needed for submission:
- Orientation
- On Call (Daily) (xx3500 rate cap with 12 hours gratis)
- 24 Hour Holiday Call
- Call Back ($350 rate cap)
- Holiday Call Back
- Conversion Fee ($25k rate cap)
Requirement description :
- Board Certified REQUIRED
- State Licensed or IMLC Approved STRONGLY PREFERS (Can accept providers needing to obtain state license but prefers Licensed or IMLC Approved)
- NRP Certified REQUIRED
- Fetal Monitoring by AWOHN REQUIRED
