NC DHHS is seeking an experienced SQL Server Administrator to provide support for 300 SQL databases across 3 Data Caters and 2 Cloud Providers.
Due to the growth of SQL Server usage in ITD NC DHHS is in need of a SQL Server Administrator to provide support for over 300 SQL Databases across 3 Data Centers and 2 Cloud Providers. This role requires 7 years demonstrated experience working as a SQL Server administrator; Strong understanding of SQL database monitoring and performance tuning; Experience in troubleing and resolving database problems; Experience with following:
oBackups restores and High Availability (Always on)
oInstallation and configuration of SQLand 2019 Standard and Enterprise
oConfiguration of SSIS and SSRS
oWork experience on SSIS and SSRS to create and deploys packages and Reports
oDatabase upgrade Patching & Refresh
oSQL tuning Data conversion / Migration Supporting Enterprise Systems
oDatabase maintenance Database backup and recovery
oSetup and constantly improve maintenance operational and monitoring processes
oExport/Import Replication maintaining back up jobs Creating Linked Server Objects
oExperience in Database Mirroring log shipping and DR procedures
oExperience in SQL transactional Replication
oSupporting MS SQL databases in Microsoft clustered environments
oSQL 2016 Availability groups is a plus
oExperience in Spotlight is plus
oWindows administration PowerS Visual Studio (SQL Server Data Tools) is a plus
Job duties:
oSQL Server performance ysis tuning capacity planning/forecast security and design
oCollaborate with DBAs and Developers in troubleing database and application errors
oActively monitor the database environment to ensure optimal performance and to prevent production issues.
oOpen and Followup on Service Request tickets to quickly resolve problems.
oPerform Production OnCall Support on rotational basis including OffHours and Weekend
