Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Senior CNC Programmer you will be responsible for developing optimizing and troubleshooting CNC programs to ensure efficient production processes. You will collaborate closely with engineering production and quality control teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop CNC programs using CAM (ComputerAided Manufacturing) software based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Optimize existing CNC programs to improve efficiency reduce cycle times and minimize material waste.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure CNC programs meet technical requirements and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs to resolve issues and minimize machine downtime.
  • Conduct tooling selection and toolpath optimization to achieve desired surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
  • Perform periodic maintenance and calibration of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam GibbsCAM or similar. Indepth knowledge of CNC machining processes tooling and materials.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and blueprint reading.
  • Experience with multiaxis machining and complex part geometries is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is desirable.
