You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOverview: Good Shepherd International School (GSIS) is seeking a highly organized and experienced InHouse Travel Agent to join our team. As an integral part of our inhouse travel agency the selected candidate will be responsible for managing travel bookings and arrangements for our existing students and prospective parents and planning and booking travel for student excursions etc. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional service to our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Travel Arrangements: Coordinate travel logistics for GSIS students including booking flights accommodations transportation and any necessary travel documents.
Prospective Parent Travel Coordination: Assist prospective parents visiting GSIS with their travel arrangements including flights accommodation transportation and scheduling school tours.
Excursion Planning and Booking: Plan and book travel for student excursions including researching destinations coordinating with vendors and ensuring all logistical details are in place.
Budget Management: Work within budgetary constraints to provide costeffective travel options while maintaining highquality service standards.
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with travel vendors negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with GSIS policies and procedures.
Travel Advisory Services: Provide travel advice and recommendations to students parents and staff including information on destinations visa requirements health and safety precautions and travel insurance options.
Documentation and RecordKeeping: Maintain accurate records of travel bookings expenses and itineraries and ensure all necessary documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
Emergency Assistance: Serve as a point of contact for students and parents during travel emergencies providing assistance and support as needed.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on travel industry trends best practices and regulatory changes and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of travel services.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in hospitality management tourism business administration or related field.
Proven experience as a travel agent or travel coordinator preferably in an educational or hospitality setting.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with students parents staff and external vendors.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment.
Knowledge of travel booking systems online reservation platforms and travelrelated software applications.
Familiarity with international travel regulations visa requirements and travel insurance policies.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends especially during peak travel seasons or student excursions.
Fluency in English; additional language skills would be an advantage.
