Job Description
Position: Attorney Workers Compensation
MBC Talent Connections is currently looking for a motivated Attorney to join our client as a Workers Compensation Attorney. We are seeking an individual with a strong passion for advocating for injured workers as well as a deep understanding of workers compensation laws. This individual will be responsible for managing a caseload that includes covering hearings in the Philadelphia Harrisburg Lancaster and Pottsville areas.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in workers compensation cases including hearings trials and appeals
Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as briefs motions and pleadings
Communicate with clients insurance companies and other parties involved in the case
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Provide guidance and counsel to clients on workers compensation laws and regulations
Stay updated on changes in workers compensation laws and regulations
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation
Attend conferences and seminars to further knowledge and skills in workers compensation law
Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of client information
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania
Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing workers compensation law representing claimants
Strong understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in legal research and writing
Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality
Willingness to travel for hearings and trials as needed
