To lead the quality control and assurance initiatives for construction projects ensuring that all processes and outputs meet the companys quality standards while also ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
Job Description:
As a QC/QA Manager reporting to the GM/DGM of Construction your role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects. You will lead the Quality Control and Quality Assurance efforts making certain that projects meet established standards and client expectations. In addition to overseeing QC/QA part of your responsibilities includes regular reporting to the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control (QC):
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection protocols to meet project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify work meets quality standards.
- Identify nonconformities and work with project teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Quality Assurance (QA):
- Establish and maintain a quality management system to ensure overall project quality.
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans for each project.
- Monitor adherence to QA standards and provide guidance on improvement.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure projects adhere to industry standards client requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and standards and implement them in project processes.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of QC/QA engineers material engineers and inspectors setting expectations and providing guidance.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the project teams.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Submit regular reports on QC/QA activities findings and recommendations to the GM/DGM and other relevant management personnel. This includes weekly and monthly progress reports
- Ensure that all documentation related to QC/QA is maintained for compliance and future reference.
- Issue Resolution:
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Document issue resolution and track improvements.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training and guidance to project teams and subcontractors on quality standards and best practices.
- Ensuring the QC/QA team is trained motivated and equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with the required & relevant stakeholders ensuring that they are informed of QC/QA efforts and results.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering quality management or a related field.
- Min 810 Years Proven experience in QC/QA management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality control and quality assurance best practices.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and problemsolving abilities.
