Job Description
As a key player in our financial strategy and operations youll have a significant impact on the future of tozero. Your financial acumen will guide our decisionmaking while also enhancing our growth and fundraising initiatives.
Collaborating closely with Sarah our CEO and the leadership team you will help steer our financial planning reporting and fundraising efforts. Together we can revolutionize the lithiumion battery recycling industry and make a positive impact on the environment.
Please note that tozero is committed to fostering a strong company culture and we do not offer remote/hybrid work at this stageespecially since our engineers need to be onsite in the plant and lab.
Tasks
Driving Fundraising Operational Excellence and Investor Relations to Propel Growth at tozero.
- Lead Fundraising Efforts: Youll spearhead our equity and nonequity financing strategies crafting compelling narratives and engaging with investors. Your goal is to uncover grants and public funding opportunities that align with our mission.
- Collaborate with Investors: Youll work closely with our board and investors to ensure everyone is aligned on our strategic vision while providing detailed financial updates and insights.
- Drive Financial Planning: Oversee the budgeting forecasting and financial analysis processes to support informed decisionmaking and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage Financial Operations: Take charge of our finance functions including accounting tax and treasury management while implementing solid internal controls and policies.
Requirements
A Strategic Finance Leader with Proven Experience Strong Analytical Skills and a Collaborative Mindset to Foster Growth at tozero.
- Experience: You bring 5 years in finance with a solid track record in investment banking management consulting or leadership roles in dynamic startups. Your experience includes securing significant funding and managing financial operations.
- Education: A strong background in finance is a must with an MBA being a plus.
- Analytical Mind: You excel in breaking down complex data and enjoy working with numbers to facilitate informed decisions.
- TechSavvy: Youre comfortable discussing technical aspects with investors and partners helping optimize our offerings in line with financial goals.
- Communicator: Youre skilled at engaging with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
- DetailOriented: You can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
- Innovative Thinker: You thrive in fastpaced environments tackling challenges with creativity and a proactive approach.

This is how we proceed:
- After reviewing your documents we will get back to you and schedule an Intro Call where you learn about tozero our mission and the team. We get to know you and understand your motivation.
- Prior to the next session you will receive a case study to work on. This part is important to us to assess your cultural and business fit for the role. Your case will then be challenged by our CEO Sarah in the second interview.
- In the third interview you will talk to Ksenija our CTO and we will evaluate your fit to our company culture (culture values working style etc..).
- If all parties are happy we will make you an offer and you can start right away.
