Overview:
The HR Intern plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department in various administrative tasks and gaining practical experience in human resources. This role is important in contributing to the smooth functioning of HR operations and gaining handson experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the recruitment process including job postings sourcing candidates and scheduling interviews
- Supporting the onboarding process for new employees including preparing documentation and conducting orientations
- Assisting with HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records and databases
- Participating in employee engagement initiatives and events
- Assisting with HR projects and initiatives such as performance management and training programs
- Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Conducting research on HR best practices and industry trends
- Assisting with the coordination of training and development programs
- Providing support for HR communication and internal announcements
- Participating in meetings and taking minutes
- Assisting with data entry and analysis for HR metrics and reports
- Contributing to the maintenance of HR documentation and files
- Providing general administrative support to the HR team
- Handling adhoc HR projects and tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a related Bachelors or Masters degree program in HR Business Administration or a related field
- Knowledge of HR practices principles and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- HRrelated work experience or internships is a plus
- Understanding of recruitment processes and best practices
- Knowledge of HRIS or HR software is advantageous
- Familiarity with labor laws and employment regulations
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
