Overview
As an OT Assistant at the eye hospital in Jogeshwari East you will play a crucial role in assisting the Occupational Therapist and supporting the overall rehabilitation process for patients with eyerelated conditions. Your work will directly impact the quality of care and the patients overall experience at the hospital.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Provide support during therapy sessions and exercises
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including dressing and grooming
- Help maintain a clean and organized therapy environment
- Document patient progress and report to the Occupational Therapist
- Monitor and maintain therapy equipment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy
- Participate in training and educational sessions to stay updated on best practices
- Adhere to all hospital and therapy department policies and procedures
Required qualifications
- Associate s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Licensure or certification as an OT Assistant
- Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Empathetic and patientcentered approach
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Physical stamina and ability to assist patients with physical activities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Knowledge of therapy equipment and its maintenance
- Adherence to ethical and professional standards
