Job Description
Overview:
The Manager of Information Technology plays a crucial role in leading and managing the IT department ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems and contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of IT initiatives within the organization. This position is instrumental in aligning technology solutions with business objectives driving innovation and maintaining a secure and efficient IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daytoday operations of the IT department
- Manage IT projects including planning implementation and tracking of progress
- Provide leadership and guidance to IT staff fostering a highperforming team
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of systems and data
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions
- Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Participate in the development of IT strategies and longterm planning
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Manage IT budgets and resources effectively
- Resolve ITrelated issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology
- Lead and support digital transformation initiatives
- Conduct performance evaluations and professional development for IT team members
- Ensure high availability and security of IT infrastructure and systems
- Oversee the implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within an IT environment
- Demonstrated expertise in IT project management and delivery
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to align IT initiatives with business goals
- Solid technical acumen across various IT systems and platforms
- Experience in budgeting and resource allocation for IT projects
- Proven ability to lead and develop highperforming IT teams
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and business environments
- Certifications such as PMP CISSP or ITIL are a plus
- Experience with cloud technologies and digital transformation
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills
