Job Description

The People Officer is responsible for driving the overall employee experience fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring alignment between the companys human capital strategy and its business objectives. This role involves overseeing talent acquisition employee engagement development programs and compliance with employment laws. The People Officer will act as a key partner to leadership providing strategic guidance on all peoplerelated matters.

*Successful candidate will be moved to a fulltim permanent position if they perform exceptionally in the first 3 months.

Requirements

  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:

    • Oversee the recruitment process from identifying talent needs to onboarding new hires.
    • Implement effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
    • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
    • Ensure a seamless positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention:

    • Develop and manage employee engagement initiatives to boost morale and retain top talent.
    • Conduct regular employee surveys and analyse data to improve the work environment.
    • Lead efforts in building a positive and inclusive company culture.
    • Organize teambuilding activities and recognition programs to foster collaboration and appreciation.
  • Learning & Development:

    • Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and support career development.
    • Facilitate leadership development initiatives to build future company leaders.
    • Create onboarding processes that ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the company.
  • Performance Management:

    • Oversee performance review processes and ensure alignment with company objectives.
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to managers on conducting performance evaluations.
    • Implement strategies for identifying and nurturing highpotential employees.
  • Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI):

    • Lead efforts to ensure the company s workforce is diverse and inclusive.
    • Create and enforce policies that promote equality and prevent workplace discrimination.
    • Work closely with leadership to ensure DEI goals are part of the company s strategic initiatives.
  • Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution:

    • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees seeking guidance on HRrelated matters.
    • Mediate conflicts and resolve workplace issues with professionalism and sensitivity.
    • Ensure that all disciplinary actions are handled fairly and in line with company policies.
  • Compensation & Benefits:

    • Collaborate with HR leadership to design competitive compensation and benefits packages.
    • Ensure employees are informed about their compensation benefits and perks.
    • Regularly review compensation practices to ensure equity and market competitiveness.
  • Compliance & HR Policy Management:

    • Ensure company HR policies comply with federal state and local employment laws.
    • Oversee the administration of HR policies and procedures ensuring consistency across departments.
    • Stay updated on legal changes and provide guidance to the leadership team on HR legal matters.
  • HR Analytics & Reporting:

    • Utilize HR metrics to track the effectiveness of people management initiatives.
    • Provide leadership with datadriven insights for decisionmaking and strategic planning.
    • Track turnover rates employee satisfaction scores and other relevant metrics.
