Survey Technician

we areseeking for a Survey Crew Member in our Lawrence Kansas office. Responsibilities include gathering field data construction layout as well as maintenance and care of vehicles equipment and instruments. Some previous survey experience preferred.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Gathering field data must enjoy working outside.
• Maintenance upkeep and care of the vehicle equipment and instruments assigned to the survey crew.
• The maintenance quality and filing of all information provided and generated during each project.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualities:

• Detailoriented and able to work unsupervised.
• Ability to work with clients representatives in the field.
• Ability to draw representative sketches and take clear and concise notes.
• Statistical and analytical knowledge using advanced math skills. The language requirements are reading writing spelling and the ability to communicate clearly in English.

Experiential expectations:

• CAD and computer experience.
• Drivers license
• Ability to stand for long periods of time. This position frequently requires stooping kneeling crouching and lifting of heavy objects (50 lbs or more). Use of hands arms eyes and voice. Must be able to work around loud equipment. Must be able to walk over various types of terrain for long periods of time. Must be able to use surveying office and computer equipment.
• 1 to 2 years of experience with a variety of surveyrelated tasks including legal descriptions; calculation and recording of field data; creating plats plot plans and real property surveys; and construction staking. GPS and robotic experience preferred.
