Job Description

Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage operationally and functionally assigned projects
  • Achieve project KPIs in terms of profitability
  • Secure and control project resources
  • Address project issues requiring support from suitable functions via the Project Escalation process
  • Validate project team members activities proposals and timelines to achieve milestones
  • Define and manage project budgets including subprojects or systems
  • Define project scope and manage changes (both internal and customer)
  • Prepare decisionmaking processes for relevant committees and challenge project team readiness
  • Prepare and submit Cost Approval Applications (CAA) and Investment Approval Requests (IAR) challenging cost assessments from team members
  • Apply Design to Cost methodology and manage all project changes coordinating through the team
  • Escalate gaps versus targets at the appropriate level with speed and anticipation

Customer Communication & Relationship Management:

  • Keep clients updated on project progress
  • Prepare and validate reports on project development
  • Manage customer relationships
  • Ensure effective management of escalations if needed

Language Requirements:

  • English: Business Level
  • Japanese: N3 or good conversational

Experience:

  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience in software development
  • Experience in project management
