Sr. Associate Visual Merchandising
Our client a US luxury brand is seeking a Sr. Associate Visual Merchandising to join their team in Japan. This role will lead and develop the visual presentation for retail locations across the region ensuring visual merchandising standards are maintained to enhance brand identity and optimize product displays. You will play a critical role in ensuring customers are delighted by the store environment while balancing aesthetics and business productivity.

Job Summary:
- Lead and develop visual presentation standards for retail locations in Japan.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and adapt them to the local market.
- Collaborate with store and corporate teams to ensure consistency in brand presentation.
- Provide training and leadership to store teams on visual merchandising best practices.
Responsibilities:
Focus Area #1: Regional Visual Merchandising Strategy & Standards
- Elevate and implement visual guidelines for window presentations and instore displays.
- Develop visual merchandising strategies aligned with the brand.
- Communicate field operations feedback to the corporate office.
- Maintain brand consistency by adapting local market trends into visual merchandising.
- Collaborate on creative and aesthetic elements for displays and window props.
Focus Area #2: Visual Support Special Events New Store Openings & Operations
- Oversee visual merchandising for new store openings and special events.
- Work with crossfunctional teams (Marketing Retail Buying PR) to meet visual needs.
- Manage inventory of visual merchandising props.
Focus Area #3: HandsOn Visual Support
- Plan execute and follow up on key rollouts and initiatives.
- Travel frequently to provide onsite visual merchandising coaching and feedback.
- Conduct photo reviews and provide weekly updates on visual merchandising progress.
Focus Area #4: Leadership
- Lead visual merchandising training and workshops for the region.
- Onboard and train new hires on visual standards and guidelines.
- Develop educational and training tools for the visual merchandising team.
Additional Responsibilities
- Take on special projects as needed.
To Land This Role:
- Minimum 3 years of visual merchandising/installation experience in luxury retail.
- Strong organizational leadership and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage installations and maintenance on a rolling calendar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excel Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Able to travel and work outside standard hours (early mornings evenings weekends).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight timelines.
