Job Description
Job Title: Network Engineer III
Location: Remote
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 month contract with strong potential for renewal/longterm opportunities; potential for permanent conversion
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer III to join our Implementation and Operations (I&O) Team in Charlotte. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work handson with advanced network technologies and contribute to key operational and provisioning tasks. As part of this team youll handle live equipment manage critical network configurations and troubleshoot a variety of complex networking challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks based on Method of Procedure (MOPs) to carry out complex provisioning on live network equipment including the potential for service outages.
- Perform circuit grooming card swaps and software updates.
- Troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
- Work with highend networking equipment including Juniper MX960 Cisco ASR9000 and Cisco ME3400.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience working for an Internet Service Provider (ISP) or network carrier.
- Experience in Spectrum/Charter networks is a significant plus.
- Certifications required: CCNA or JNCIA minimum.
- Preferred certifications: CCNP or JNCP for advanced knowledge.
