Job Description


Summary: Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley West (HCW) is looking for additional OB/GYNs to fill their urgent need. OBGYN will cover the call coverage in the OBGYN group and will need to be available for 8 shifts per month starting November.


BID DUE DATE: Sept 25th at 5p EST!


Rate Caps for Submission:

Malpractice Must be included in rates.

Orientation half the hourly/callback rate kicks in after 8 hours. Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours

Holiday Must be 1.5x the regular rate. Per holiday hour no OT

On Call (Daily) xxPer 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis

On Call Daily Holiday Call Rate xx4951.50 xx5400 Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis

Call Back $401500 Per hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.

Holiday Call Back xx601.50 xx750 Per holiday hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed gratis prorate to MSA terms.

Average call back is minimal.


Schedule/Availability Requirements:
  • Start Date: November 2024
  • Assignment: 8 shifts per month starting November. The call includes 2 sites.
  • 24hour call with 4 hours gratis (7a7a)

  • Setting: Outpatient Inpatient Call Emergency Room Clinic Trauma Level III
  • FTE: 2.0
  • Required Procedures/Job Duties: General OB/GYN procedures & job duties. Candidates will need to see patients in clinic provide deliveries and procedures in the hospital and group call coverage.
  • EMR: Epic
    Support Staff: MA
  • Reason for Coverage: Departure of existing physician and another physician ramping down in preparation for retirement.

EMR Required Training:

  • Module (learn lessons) Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
  • EMR Virtual training Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Provider is required to schedule and complete their virtual EMR training prior to their first day to avoid missing their first shift.

Travel Preferences (see attachment for specific travel guidelines):

Preferred Lodging: none. In the event that the CommonSpirit Health preferred hotel is not available hotel/lodging rates will be reimbursed based on actual expense up to 1.5 times the current GSA rate for the market.

Air Travel: xx750/round trip cap

Rental Cars: xx65/day all in cap (including taxes and fees) regardless of car class.

Mileage: IRS Standard Rate

Please detail any anticipated travel exceptions for example a dietary restriction necessitating specific lodging situations. Travel exception requests will be denied if this information is not part of the provider presentation. Please also indicate the city where provider will be traveling from in the travel section of the provider submission.

  • Census/patient population: Adult Adolescent Geriatric
  • What is the anticipated Patient Volume per shift Call volumes 23 patient calls per month for every 7 days of call.
  • What does call look like if covering call at 2 locations Is there a backup physician that will take call if the primary physician is onsite at the other location GYN emergencies only at SL very few. 1 every couple of months. Family med takes most things there. SL does not have a month/baby unit.

Requirement description :
  • Board Certification OB/GYN Required or Truly BE (05 years of residency completion)
  • Active UT License Highly Preferred
  • Active BLS or PALS Controlled substance Required for credentialing
  • Active DEA Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA however must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment not just for shifts worked.)
  • Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date Required
  • Must be available for 8 shifts per month minimum and able to start November 2024 Required (Must note on submission)
  • Must disclose # of shifts per month provider can offer to the team Required
  • Clean Malpractice/background Highly Preferred Must include self inquiry NPDB report at time of name clear.
