Position Overview: The Senior Director of Market Research will oversee the development and of comprehensive market research strategies. This role is pivotal in shaping our understanding of market trends customer needs and competitive dynamics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading market research teams leveraging data to drive strategic decisionmaking and providing actionable insights that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall market research strategy aligned with the companys objectives. Ensure that research activities support strategic decisionmaking across all levels of the organization.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of market researchers analysts and support staff. Foster a collaborative and highperformance culture within the department.
Research Design & : Oversee the design and analysis of market research studies including quantitative and qualitative research. Ensure methodological rigor and relevance to business needs.
Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze complex data sets to extract actionable insights and trends. Present findings to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends competitor activities and market dynamics. Provide strategic recommendations based on competitive intelligence and market opportunities.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with crossfunctional teams including marketing product development and sales to ensure alignment of research findings with business strategies and initiatives.
Budget Management: Manage the market research budget ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external research vendors and consultants.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Market Research Business Statistics Economics or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA Masters or Ph.D.) preferred.
10 years of experience in market research with a proven track record of success in a senior management role.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing highperforming teams.
Expertise in a range of market research methodologies including survey design focus groups and data analytics.
Proficiency in market research software and tools such as SPSS SAS or similar platforms.
Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey research findings to diverse audiences.
Strong business acumen and the ability to align research activities with strategic business goals.
