Job Description:
The Plant Manager is responsible for the daytoday activities in the facility while promoting continuous improvement through strong leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan organize direct and run daytoday operations.
- Achieve goals set for the production facility.
- Lead the facility in establishing and meeting continuous improvement objectives
- Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance
- Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
- Promote all Safety Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures while supporting their continuous improvement efforts.
- Foster a welltrained and motivated team by encouraging and supporting the development of all plant employees
- Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement
- Provide operational and employee leadership to the facility
- Assist executive management with budgeting production statistics cost analysis justification of capital expenditures and asset management.
- Responsible for implementing and reporting of plant KPIs
- Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors degree Business or related field preferred
- 10 plus years experience of leadership role within planning or supervision in a food manufacturing facility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and abilities
- Working knowledge of production equipment
- Proactive problemsolving skills
- Quality System background or foundational knowledge.
- Experience with ERP WMS and batching software.
