Job Title: Network Infrastructure Support Specialist
Location: Oyster Bay NY (Onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage network performance including routers switches firewalls and wireless access points.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues including hardware software and configuration problems.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware updates configuration changes and system backups.
- Assist with the design and implementation of network infrastructure projects and upgrades.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other IT components.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations processes and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and endusers.
- Participate in oncall rotation to provide 24/7 network support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in network infrastructure support or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols IP addressing and routing and switching concepts.
- Handson experience with network hardware (e.g. Cisco Juniper) and network management tools.
- Experience in network security practices and technologies including firewalls VPNs and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network Cisco CCNA Juniper JNCIA) are a plus.
